Our history

Ed Melo launched Resource Capital Corp. and Resource Real Estate Corp. in 1981 to serve the needs of the expanding commercial real estate market in Tampa Bay, then destined to become a major business center in Florida.

In the ‘80s, the maturing Tampa Bay commercial real estate market demanded a level of performance typically unavailable from small local companies. Tampa businesses and property owners were turning to large out-of-town firms for high-level performance.

Recognizing this market void, Ed merged Resource Capital Corp. and Resource Real Estate Corp. to form the Resource Realty Group -- a full-service commercial and industrial real estate firm that filled the gap by providing the high level of performance generally found in large out-of-town firms and the personalized service generally found in small local companies.

Blending the two companies created a unique range of services for the new company. Resource Realty Group is more than a Tampa Bay commercial and industrial broker, a property manager, or a real estate consultant. Our intimate knowledge in all three of these areas makes us one of the best-suited firms to deliver high-level results to our clients.
